Sorry, I just thought of something else. How would you, personally, go about putting a price on a piece of work by an unknown artist? Are some themes more popular than others? If the technique used is similar to another better-known artist, does that increase the value? If so, does it mean that the least original works get the best price at the outset? If so, isn't it ironic that artists should be encouraged to imitate rather than innovate?.. Just curious.
