Tash and Lezli: Thanks for the kind thoughts regarding my mother's death. We buried her today, and it's good that she doesn't have to suffer any more. And now it's time for me to go full blast in trying to start making a living again.
James: get a grip, man. You're not the only one here with problems. I've got four years of art frustration under my belt already. And there are others here who make my failures seem insignificant if you only look at sales and fame and fortune as measures of success.
It doesn't matter how much talent you have, or how much talent you think you have. Talent is no guarantee of financial success. Thousands of talented people fail. And you can do everything Lezli's done--and she's done the max at promoting her work--and still fail. No guarantees, buddy. The more you promote, the better your chances of success, but still, promotion and talent won't always do the trick. You have to be lucky, too.
Stop whining. Start doing. Grow up. Life ain't easy for most of us.
Sorry to sound harsh, but you did post, and when you post, you have to expect reactions. This is my reaction. If I offend you by saying this, so be it. But it needed saying.
Regards,
Ronski
