I am an Artist & I write verse...

I feel the relationship is that both fields are 'creative'. It allows us to take a blank sheet of paper, and weave upon it, our most inner feelings and emotions.

In this, we relay our deepest dreams, desires or even fears - laying them open for the world to see, judge or even noddingly 'relate' to...

I just posted a very old verse of mine called 'The Forgotten' - and I wrote this verse when I had all this emotion inside me - needing to vent it, I picked up paper and pencil - and filled the page with my thoughts.

I do the same as an Artist - with basically the same materials - paper, pencil and whatever it is - that is haunting me at that moment in time..

And in this - I am taking emotion and reworking it - into a pleasing form - that people can associate with - and at the same time, I feel a release - as if I detached a piece of me, and breathed life to it - for it to flutter away and hopefully, apease all with its unique beauty.

So what is the relationship between Art and Poetry - I feel its all the same in the end - the same way all creatives are basically the same - the emotions the same - but the way they express themselves, 'that' is the difference....

:)
Sincerley,
Deb...
