I made it out to the studio today and for a couple of hours on Sunday. A bit lazy from over-partying I did not have it in me to find the staple gun, spend $50 on Gesso, and do all the do's to get a new canvas ready. Instead, I dug out some canvas and canvas boards that I had started some time ago. It was so nice to work small! This and I had already laid down color so I could go straight into the focused painting I wanted. I spread a full palette and worked with small brushes. Being small, some of the pieces seem more "illustrational" than the large works I usually do. I also made 3 laughing faces destined for an installation piece I've been dreaming up.
The Creative Gym dream seed is growing.. . more later on this.
