I've been in the painting/scrounging-for-money business for about 30 years. sometimes great, sometimes I've wondered if I'd end up in jail. But wouldn't dream of doing any thing else. I think it has a lot to do with having a lot of exposure to your work and either great marketing or real honest work or both if possible.
