Hello to you folks. I am hoping some of you might lend some insight in a task I'm trying to accomplish.
I need to find a way to ascertain two things:
1. Find the estimated value of two specific pieces
2. Find "where it is" in order to establish a dialogue over the possibility of negotiating its purchase.
I am helping a friend, since I'm more internet "savvy" than they are, however, I don't know the first thing about art, per se.
But I do know how to ask for help. As a result, I am here posting this message in the hopes some of you might have some desire to free me of my ignorance.
Please respond, if you would be so kind, to my email: pentiumchip@hotmail.com
Here are the pieces I am looking for in particular, if that might help:
A) "Isabella and the Pot of Basil" by William Holman Hunt circa. 1867
B) "Choosing" by John William Godward circa. 1861-1922
Thank you in advance for any help you can lend. I suspect there might be some kind of resource where one can go to look these things up lickety split; I just don't know where that is.
Respectfully,
Alexander Peña
