in the afternoon
starfire
posed between boredom
and posterity echoes
lining the room
as curtains of canvas
waiting
reflecting passions of renoir
O
she is his
model modern matisse
line in monet hue draped
in landscape exotic
like gauguin gold and green
island shadows of hibiscus
blending as underpaint
to canvas
O
she is as sung
from sable brushed in verse
his model just as posed
eyes and mouth in mood
juxtapose
to his artist whim
she is
