Art Dealer seeks works by Southern artists for a gallery in Metro Atlanta. Artists must have been born or reared in the following states:
AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, MO, N.C., S.C., TN, TX, VA
Slide submissions must meet the following requirements:
1. Consistent, mature body of work. No student projects.
2. Presents the Southland in a favorable manner.
3. Figurative or realistic work in 2-D or 3-D
4. All work must be original.
5. No work previously viewed online or otherwise.
6. Gallery will have the "right to first refusal".
All artworks are subject to the standard gallery split:
Work without compensation is tyranny.
60/40 for permanent works: canvas and sculptures.
Sixty percent to the gallery; forty percent to the artist
50/50 for works on paper.
Portfolio submissions should contain the following materials.

4-6 labeled slides (dupes only). Include SASE for their return.
On the front side of each slide label print:
Title of piece, image size, medium, copyright symbol and date.
On the backside of each slide print:
Artist's name, address and e-mail
Absolutely no phone calls! Portfolios will only be viewed if sent through the U.S. Post Office. Any portfolios without proper postage will be summarily rejected. In other words, no "over-the-transom" drops.
Slides submissions are viewed on Mondays only. Time your mailing accordingly. Allow two weeks for a return response.
