Artists Statement .

Having had no formal training at Art College I have not been influenced or disciplined in any school of thought or method. This is an important
factor in my development as an Artist as I have had the freedom to explore, discover and create within my own perimeters of experience.

I have worked in a variety of media including water colour, oils and screen print favoring no single medium as subject matter usually determines
the medium used. Since 1996 I have been exploring digital media using an Apple Mac to generate artwork. In the future I think this medium will
replace most of the traditional materials I' ve been using.

Summarizing my work to date it is clear I am working in periodic units. These may consist of a period of time, an in depth subject study, or be of
a style development nature. An Exhibition normally defines such a period.

It is difficult to categorize the style and content of the work I produce as I tend to work in an innovative way, fusing different elements together.
If I had to label my self I would call my self a fusionist.

Reflecting on a statement from my first one man show I find myself still agreeing with it." I paint what I feel, see, and imagine, using a fusion of
styles and ideas to communicate the things in life that touch and inspire me ".
