I have a Silver "Purdy"s Basin". I have read quite a few postings, dealing with Mr Barrymore's work.I have found that it can be quite confusing, so if I am repeating a question asked already I apologize.... Can anyone give me information on this particular etching, as to value? It is Silver base i guess you would call it, verses the Gold. Signed Lionel Barrymore. I say "etching" Because I am going with the basis of the light reflecting differently on all of the different areas of the picture and the small areas that are raised up flaked off. So that would mean foil etching right? There is little damage and mostly on the edges. Now I took several photo's of the etching and I can send them to anyone that it might help in assessing the value. Not that , the photo would help... " Art Ignorant" here. Sorry!
