I'm a believer! I thought I had seen it all! Boy was I wrong!
An artist friend of mine told me about this new web site. www.fineartregistry.com. She told me that it was brand new and that she had never seen anything like it--a dream site for self-representing artists, she told me. She was so excited about it, she was bursting (and she never gets excited about anything). I couldn't imagine what was so different about this new site. So I paid the site a visit. I must admit, I was blown away! What an awesome concept! It's about time!!!! Could it be that someone finally has come along to champion independent artists everywhere????!!! They plan to host exhibitions for all artist, not just the "chosen" few.
When you visit, and you definitely should...you'll see that it's a PERMANENT registry. After I got to thinking about the idea of a "permanent" catalog, I started getting excited. You can put your entire digital portfolio on the site--biography and all--even the items you've already sold for all time! Where on the web can you do that! No where!! And...YOU CAN LIST 50 PIECES FOR SALE FOR AS LONG AS YOU WANT.... Every artist should check this site out.... I still can't believe it...and wait til you read about how little it costs you...and no commissions!!!! There's a lot more, too...like real time art news, events, etc. I haven't finished reading about all of the benefits, but WOW!!!
