I know what it feels to sell a piece ... I'am living in belgium and a couple came in december from chicago to brussels to buy one of my paintings. It was the first time I sold something to a complete stranger and it gave me a great satisfaction.
I too have problems with letting go some of my oilpaintings, but it is better to take distance once they are finished and let them 'live' their own life...
