Open Call for Artists
Benefit exhibition for Greenpeace Canada
We are seeking submissions of painting and sculpture with environmental themes. The selected artwork will be display only (not for sale). Artists will be provided with a space next to their work to display business cards. A table will also be provided showcase literature about artists and their work.
A $25 submission fee will be charged to the applicants. The fees will be donated to Green Peace, minus the expenses of the exhibit. Artists may submit up to 6 pieces for consideration. Slides should be numbered and accompanied by a slide list and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Submissions should be sent to 93 Gates Avenue Toronto ON Canada M4C 1T2. All cheques should be made payable to John Wiles.
The Sacred Voice Gallery’s Greenpeace Benefit will be from September 12th to 14th, 2003 during the The Junction Arts Festival. The main venue for the exhibition will be will be the Malta Ballroom on the second floor of 235 Medland St. at Dundas West. We are now working with the festival organizers to acquire a large tent to place in front of the front of the gallery for the opening gala on the evening of the 13th. Olivia Chow has been confirmed as a guest speaker on the 13th and we are actively seeking other high profile speakers and attendees.
