Your advert caught my eye. I am a senior art student currently enrolled at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. I have competed in few competitions, but received first place in the undergraduate competition here in the spring of last year for a mixed media, 2-D piece entitled "Socialist Housewife". The juror of the show runs the Robert McClain Gallery in Houston. She later baught the winning piece. My art is probably not what you are used to (how would I know what you've seen, but it is definately different thatn your father's work). Most of my pieces are mixed media (I try to include oil pastel, graphite, charcoil, acrylic paints, spray paints and sand), in either 2-D or 3-D pieces (mainly combines). They all mainly appear non-representational and have points of agitation and points of tranquility. Teachers and fellow artists describe them as being "conceptual and thought provoking." Some also ask "What were you thinking?" and "what do you mean?" All of these responses to my work are exactly what I want the viewer to experience... a sense of misplaced aggression (that term is too negative, let me try again), or aggravation in a world full of uncertainty and faux-bliss (I do believe I just made up a word).

Please reply to this e-mail whether you would like to persue representing me or not because I would really appreciate some outside feedback on my ideas.

Thanks again,
George Caraway IV
