I am writing to see if anyone can help me in any way I am strongly convinced that I have an original painting of a seated ballerina by Edgar Degas in my possession. It is very old. There is not a signature on there but my mother as well as others who have seen the painting claim that Degas painted over the signature and they can still see it when they look closely at it in the light. The back of the painting has a stretcher company which reads "Bay State Stretchers Wadsworth & Howland Co Inc Boston Mass." I looked that company up but unfortunately they are no longer in existence. They were in business in the 1800s. The measurements of the painting (frame not included) approximately 26x20 inches. To see the picture of the painting please visit:

Opinions, advice, information.. anything would be appreciated. thank you.
