After nearly 25 years as an illustrator, graphic artist, photographer, and teacher, I am now enjoying the freedom of expressive oil painting full time. The images I paint are not portraits. I am compelled to create an atmosphere rather than a likeness. Emotion, intensity, message, and color play together with the faces on the canvas.
