I hope it will be of interest to some of you that a Salvador Dali auction will be coming on Ebay October 25, 2003 and will end 7 to 10 days later. The auction will be for three private pieces, two of which should have great value. A fourth piece is being given away free to the winning bidder.
One piece is a picture of Salvador Dali himself standing on a NY balcony. In this picture, he is a young man (its 1940) and he's friendly and yet dark and mysterious. Definitely a good looking man.
It is believed that the picture was taken for Dali's 1941 exhibition in the United States at the Museum of Art. The picture is overlarge and custom framed.
Second piece is a lithograph of Lincoln Vision numbered 487/750.
The other two pieces are prints: The Madonna of Port Lligat and Christ of St. John of the Cross.
