As iconoclastic as we may all be ( warning spell check not in effect )
sometimes it is hard to not get snowed by a large ego coming off as a sage.......This is not adressed at anyone here, who for the most part
are all honest artists just trying to scratch out a section of soil.
forget that intro here is the question..........
How much do you think our egos play into this pursuit ?To choose this endevor when most of us are cynical towards whom might call themselves AUTHORITY s..........we go up against the odds of people who belive they are gods of all knowing about this thing called art.
Sowetimes i get caught up in trying to topple these authority figures more than just trying to do the art........we all get rejection here and there,but this battle of the artist verses the bizz world is out of hand some times....... In the music game you come up against the agent,manager,club owner,power broker who says " Where are you playing ? " DUH !!!!!!! in the art world we hear " Well where have you showed ? " DUH times 2 !!!!!! the rejections can be in the form of
a very important mover and shaker or just the approval of a friend...trash or treasure ? it's what we do.searching when we come out of the artist stupor to run it up the flag pole and see if someone salutes.........who wants soup ?
