I have a small collection of Emerson prints myself. Here's some of what is known about the artist.
Ed Emerson has been one of Charleston’s most popular artist during the last three decades. Ed's first career was as US Navy chaplain. After decades of traveling the world with the Navy, Ed decided to retire to the Carolina Lowcountry.
With retirement, Ed pursued his love of art. Charleston’s pastel colored houses were the perfect subject for Ed’s watercolors . Ed’s Flower Ladies and Market prints captured the people and mood of old Charleston.
Ed continues to paint for enjoyment but is enjoying his second retirement.
