Hello, my name is Chris and I'm a native of Cleveland, Ohio. My very good friend, Andrew, is an aspiring artist trying to find a little direction. He's very talented, but not exactly sure how to go about achieving a successful career as an artist/illustrator. I'll admit I'm no art critic, but I do know talent when I see it and he definitely has what it takes. His work is very unusual, to say the least, and like nothing I've ever seen before. His subject matter primarily focuses on urban themes with strong attention to the hip-hop element. Personally, I think his work would be perfect in magazines like "Vibe" or "The Source". This is simply his artistic preference, however, and he is in no way limited to such content. I have personally commisioned him to do several artistic pieces with an animated theme and was quite pleased with the results. His drawings maintained a level of originality while still maintaining a level of familiarity with the original concept. I have several samples of his artwork and can get more from him if anyone is interested. Any type of help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. He's been getting discouraged as of late and I would hate for his talent to go to waste.
