That 40. glock seemed like a nice shape but for me the reputation and shape didn't fit me, in fact my groups with it are poor, and once in a compromizing posture its slide kicked backed leaving a memorable pain on my left hand, ergo hold it properly.
My guns- a 8 shot airlite 22 cal snub nose is surprising accurate cause of less kickback and fits so nicely in any pocket. Just make sure your long fingers don't dangle in front of the short nose.
My back up is a 7 shot 4 inch ported titanium barreled 357 that is obviously more impressive than the snub if I keep it in my front pocket.
Lets review the two important safety factors-1 Never point at anyone when handling your gun, practice for one minute with a pencil on how to move it around in a crowd without ever pointing it at anyone, including feet etc for even a split second. 2- Never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot, practice for one minute holding it in differant positions without your finger on the trigger, it takes that little practice because our trigger finger naturally wants wrap around the trigger. It is hard for police and soldiers to keep the finger off the trigger when securing spooky situations but sometimes they fall or stumble and accidently kill their partners in front of them if they have their finger on the trigger. Heck, I accidently click the mouse on the computer too much.
