As far as accuracy... you are definately right and the kick is like mad. The weight of the gun isn't as bad as it looks... I've held fish heavier straight up. Really... I bought it when I didn't know crap about guns. I knew that I saw it before and it looked cool and I was impressed with the damage it could do. I bought it to blow the torso off of anyone who would break into my house at night. I haven't gone targe shooting in years but when I did, it was with a 22 rifffle and thats it. Every so often duck hunting with my gramps shotgun but thats the extent of it all. Mainly the desert eagle is a gun that would make someone piss their pants and walk the other way if they came into contact with it (given that they are familiar with the damage it does). When I was a teen I had an illegal tech 9... which is another rediculous gun! I love the people who say they need a desert eagle to go hunting to target shooting with... its quite simple... this gun was made for one reason... to rip a person into two pieces. Its the moder day dirty harry gun ya know.
