Thank you for the link. Why do you make so little of the profits. I am curious, because I have been approached by one or 2 distributors on a few of my pieces, they said they would only take 15 %, I have no experience in this, my sister thinks I need to see a lawyer before signing or agreeing to anything. I was approached a few times by the home shopping network on some of my prints. They wanted 13,000.00 for air time and 30% of anything I sold. I thought that was OUTRAGEOUS!! I know galleries take 35-50%, which is also outrageous, ultimately, the artist/designer makes very little off their work.I do not know much about marketing, but I am trying to understand more, espsecially since I have been approached by a few distributors. I have recently been approached by a large distributor who offered to distribute my work,I keep my copyrights, and they take a portion of whatever I sell. My problem is this, I don't know what is a good deal or what is a bad deal, what is a hoax, and who are the cons.Basically, I don't know anything about marketing. Thanks for the info Cole.
Hugs and Kisses,
