The standard law, as you know (michaelaldana), is to make the striving artist strive even harder by charging him/her so much commission that she/he cannot possibly sell a work for any sort of survival-wage standard for him/herself. The buyers of art support galleries more than they support individual artists.
Gallery owners certainly will scream into this post, on that note. My ears are open, but please keep the decible level below 150 and the number of explatives to a minimum.
