where you are from, Quebec, Canada

and a little about your self.

My style, even though I don’t like to label things, goes from expressionist-symbolism to spiritual-surrealism. What I am looking to create and bring to life on my canvas, are deep emotions and feelings. In fact, I would like to paint the atmosphere of human experiences. I want people to be able to feel me through my paintings and I want my sensitivity and my woman’s emotions to strike the eyes and become a part of any spectator. More I'm touch by something ,more it's come alone. As an example for my picture ( La vie a l'arrivee - The end of life - http://dianeart.com/egg.html ) I was just knowing that my mother had a cancer, it touch me so much and make me think about what was the life. If you take good look at this picture you will find a lot of symbols expressing my feeling about that. Even in the way I build the picture.. .If you look attentively at the composition, you'll take note then it's in shape of a big "8", the symbol of the infinity, because for me, the life never stop, it's continue in the others that you left behind you the ones you influenced and in your soul that will goon in your future life. That's why I put a print of a hand (in yellow) behind the principal hand, it's a reference at the print hands in the prehistoric caves. It's like they are witness of the people that ones were there before us and they left something behind them to the humanity... As you can see,my pictures are very symbolic. That's why it's usually hard to understand and really "see" my art works in 5 seconds. Usually my pictures are reflecting thoughts, feelings, and meditation... For me it's the purpose of the art - says something, reflect an idea.
