Honestly, I don't know. I never made it a point to check since it's kinda foreign to my way of thinking to notice whether an artist is a man or a woman. I look at the art, the artist is secondary, a vessel so to say that the art moves through.
I guess it just annoys me when someone trumpets non-essential issues of their own personal or political beliefs about social issues when all I want to do is learn to make better art....
