ELIGIBILITY This exhibition is open to all artists age 18 and older. Artwork, in any media, must be original, completed within the last 3 years, suitably prepared for exhibition, and cannot measure more than 60” in any direction or weigh more than 60 lbs. All works must be for sale. The gallery retains a 50% commission on all sales.
JUROR Britta Konau is the Associate Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. The National Museum of Women in the Arts, the only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to recognizing the contributions of women artists.
ENTRIES Jurying will be from 35mm slides or digital images. Slides and disks must be labeled with artist’s name, title, medium, dimensions and year of completion. A red dot must appear in the lower left-hand corner on the front of each slide. Only standard cardboard or plastic mounted slides will be accepted, no glass slides please. Digital images should be 72 dpi JPEGs, maximum 600 pixels in any direction. File names should be artist’s last name followed by title. Example: JonesBlueSquares.
All entries must be received at the gallery by 5 PM on Wednesday, December 15. Artists may submit three slides for a non-refundable fee of $30. For sculptural pieces, two slides for each piece may be submitted.
AWARDS After the show is installed, the juror will select pieces for the following prizes:
1st Prize: $300
2nd Prize: $200
3rd Prize: $100
Honorable mentions will also be chosen. The selection of award winners is at the sole discretion of the juror. Awards will be announced during the opening reception.
