The Naglers were relatives of mine too. Edith Kroger was an older sister to my grandmother, Freda Kroger Giles, who was the youngest of all the Kroger children. I knew great Aunt Edith and Uncle Fred well as they spent the winters here in Dallas. I also knew Aunt Marie and Aunt Tillie. They, together with the Naglers, spent every Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family. I own several of Fred Nagler's works and two watercolors of Aunth Edith.
You must be a grandson of Aunt Gussie and Dick Scharninghausen, whom I never knew. I have a wedding photo of my grandparents' 1918 wedding at the Hotel Astor and it includes your grandparents.
Please email us with an update on your side of the family. It would be nice to keep in touch.
