I don't consider my choice of careers a mistake. I was part of the dot com boom and have lived a pretty exciting life. Many of the sites that I've developed aren't around anymore and that's too bad but I had a great time being a part of some pretty fantastic teams and that is something that has always been important to me.
I admire you that you have the ability to focus all of your creative attention to fine art. I too am looking forward to dementia, Alzheimer's and senility and am sure I'll live in a very peaceful world within myself.
Self-representation is my life. I'm a contractor. All of my artworks, websites and a few fantasy graphics that I've created with a 3-D program and manipulation with Photoshop are online. My websites, http://www.dewds.us and http://www.commanderdave.com these are my 3 ring binders.
I will, someday, focus all of my attention on fine art. I'm not there right now and enjoy so much what I am doing for a living. I appreciate your comments and understand where you are coming from. I have those days when I would like to walk away from the working world but I also have those days where the place in my soul needs a long break from creating the fine art.
Thanks, David Ehlen
