For the duration of my six months here. I have sold nothing throught this site. I realize that selling online is close to almost impossible and yet I continue to come here for the good conversations. Not to mention notoriaty. The more sites you plug yourself into the less likely someone would steal your work the more likely you've built up the value in your name.

When I say close to almost impossible here are the reasons why people would prefer to buy it at a physical location.

1. people can be paranoid about using their credit cards to purchase online items.
2. People are always looking to save a buck.
3. You are not targeting impulse buyers...you have an easier time selling offline because when they see your work online they can see it anytime until they get sick of the image...but when your art is selling in a gallery.. it gives the person a fast impression, So they buy because the chances of the image being there the next day is at low odds.
4. People feel uncomfortable charging extraordinary prices online. They'd rather see what they are getting into.
5. If you are managing sales online it's because you've built up your contacts throught credibility... After all two or more people can't be wrong right?
