I have been researching Salinger Mansion. What I found was that there seems to be two slightly different versions. The one in the book "Fanch- The Graphic Work" by Park West Galleries shows 2 white ropes that appear to have been dropped on the red carpeted by someone ascending the stairs. Another version have these ropes omitted. Which one is the true one? Anyone know of an explanation. I love the piece with the ropes better than without since it adds mystery to the piece.
