ANTIGUA opens its doors
in September and Debuts Online in August. We invite you to share your work with our online community and our community in Los Angeles. As a new Gallery we will be collecting work from various media, & subject matter.
Event Eligibility
Open to all artists worldwide working in any media, with portraiture as the main subject matter.
Awards
Five Month Showcase on our Website, a Group Show & Auction in December and Certificate of Excellence will be given to the top three selections of the juror. A number of Special Recognition Certificates will also be given and everyone participating will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Entry Fee
$15 entry fee for up to 4 images. $5 per additional image. There is no entry limit. Make checks/postal money orders or international postal money orders in U.S. dollars, payable to Noé Piña.
Slide Format
Please label your 35mm slides on the front with top. Name of artist, title of work, media and dimensions. Accepted slides are retained for consideration in upcoming invitational exhibitions.
Digital Formats
Digital entries may be sent via E-mail or on CD, as a jpeg. Label each jpeg with last name of artist and abbreviated title. On CD, please list all works on CD case/cover to match numbers on entry form. Via Email, please send entries to: noepina@yahoo.com.
Juror Background
Curator, Margartita "Quica" Alarcon is a Chicana Artist from East Los Angeles, California. She received a BFA at the Art Center of Design in Pasadena, California, in 1997. Her most recent exhibitions include: 3 Generations of Chicana Art-30 Years of Contemporary Chicano and American Art Traditions in the Rike Gallery at the University of Dayton, Ohio, and Just Another Poster? Chicano Graphic Arts in California National Art Tour, Universtiy of Texas, Austin, and University of California, Santa Barbara.
Sales & Promotions
Your work will be represented online and remain in the archive for five months. This approach will add your work to a vast collection of easily searchable artwork, as our website will be listed with numerous internet search engines.
Gallery retains no commission on sales directly attributed to the web site and takes no commission from artists who negotiate the sale of their own work.
Submitting and entry constitutes an agreement with all conditions.
