A Friend of mine just purchased a Keane painting on ebay size 30X24 or so -A young girl(her face) with a plumeria in her hand. She was told that this painting was an original, but she purchased it for under 2000 dollars. Does that sound possible? I think it may be a canvas reproduction. The person they bought it from was not a dealer. When I looked at the painting there were some shinier marks on the paint. It was as if a coating of shalaque was on some parts of it. The original owner claimed that he cleaned it. Along with Margaret Keanes signature is the date 72.
Hoping that someone who is a Keane fan my know something about her works and shed light on this. I haven't seen a print of this picture.

Thanks,
Ricki
