For some time now I've been seeing the death thros of modernism and postmodernism. Those people on the cutting edge of contemporary thought accept the passing of these trends as forgone conclusions.

The hybridization of retro-aesthetics, ancient wisdom, modern science, and spirituality into an omni-philosophic-religio-scientific paradigm surpassing even NEW AGE seems to be in the making.

The fact that "stuckism" is happening in the UK tells me that perhaps the UK is a bit stuck on things that others are well past and onto something else.

Stick stuckism, and just do what calls you creatively.

Personally, I wish there were another word for "artist". This word has so much baggage that I'm not sure I want to admit to the label too much longer.

I just say, "I draw" or "I paint" or whatever, then describe my ideas, motivations (if anyone is interested). But I'm really getting shy about using the word "artist" so vocally.

ARTIST . . . has become . . . . . . . . . artist,

. . . . and I think we're all bigger than that.
