silk scarves is a 12 X 16 acrylic on board. I won an award for this painting. The judge thought it was a photograph, and awarded me the ribbon for that.

A native of upstate New York, Debbie Anne settled in Montgomery Township, New Jersey in 1997. Educated in the science and technical fields, she held various positions in research, clinical and the teaching of scanning techniques in Diagnostic Ultrasound. Debbie Anne is an award winning artist and photographer. Her mediums include pencil drawing, charcoal, pen and ink, watercolor, air brush, and oil painting. Her art education began in May, 2000, at Marcels Art Studio, in Milltown, New Jersey, and later, continued along with georgian master Nikko Chochelli, of Doylestown, Pa. Debbie Anne was unable to draw at all before studying art in 2000. Inspired by the landscapes of New Jersey, Debbie Anne began her interest in photography. Many of her works include barns, silos, animal wildlife, nature scenes, and dramatic portraits. She also provides photography for artists, brochures, websites, and advertising. Many of her photographic studies are used in her drawings and paintings. She has been accepted into many juried shows, winning second place for her oil painting "The Oldest Working Barn", second place for her pencil drawing "Heather Marie", for her mixed media "silk scarves" in a juried show of 100 artists from five states. Also at The Salmagundi Art Club in New York, New York, an award for "Friends" a photograph taken in Africa, and photograph "Buttercup Fiesta" There have been several newspaper articles written about her work, and she has appeared on the television show, Dollys' World with her "Africa to the Arctic show"also, the previews of her " African Odyssey show," as well as "From the Arctic."
