This painting is worked in multiple glazes of extremely permanent primary colors on TH Saunders Waterford Series Paper allowing the glow of the paper to show through.
Carol McDonald is a native of Dallas, Texas and the daughter of a prominent portrait artist and military man. As such, she became an accomplished draftsman and painter early in life, earning a university scholarship to an art program while still attending High School. She also acquired a great wanderlust due to her early travel and life abroad. Since then Carol has taken numerous Regional, National and International awards for her artwork. She has also been featured in solo gallery shows in Dallas and Houston, Texas. Carol currently maintains her studio in Kemah, TX, overlooking a marina on Clear Lake Channel at Galveston Bay and her 41 ft. sailboat.
