Representational portrait of the folksinger, Joan Baez, inspired by the dark side of her voice and style, as displayed in early 1960's Life Magazine.
A passion to draw was born with me. Totally captivated by Mother's oil paintings, my spirit was ignited, and I found courage to enter TWC college, Ft. Worth, TX, 1947 to study Art. A career in Advertising evolved in 1971. From Margo's fashion stores in Dallas I proceeded to Free Lance catalog and computer ad design, finally advancing to my own private studio, creating for pure pleasure. By 1993, a surprising new voice demanded attention and produced over 60 poems in one year, which greatly enhanced my creative process, so a new dynamic was driving The Muse. Several winning Poems are published in The Poetry Society of Texas "Book of the Year".Finally, my BA degree with Major in Art was achieved in the Summer, August 8, 2009 at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas, over a 60 year span, where my study began in 1951.
