I call this tribute to 911 "The Writing on the Wall" because I believe that we should have known that it was going to happen sooner or later. I am not the only one who believes that. A few wise and courageous men tried to warn us, and even the professionals in the security business, the FBI and CIA, tried to get our government prepared. They were ignored, and 3,000 innocent bystanders, ordinary people peacefully making a living, died for it.

(Original NFS)

Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, Marte Thompson received her early art education in the Carnegie-Mellon Art Institute classes for gifted children. She learned to draw in one of the best natural history museums in the country. Because of her experiences in this museum, art and natural history were forever fused in her mind, and the debate between Genesis and Evolution being ever present, influenced her decision to study Anthropology...This background in natural history is reflected in the naturalistic realism and subject matter of her work, even in her fantasy illustrations. It also explains why she has been an artist in the videogame world, where the ability to draw naturalistically is still a valued talent.Marte has made a living in Silicon Valley as a Graphic Artist since 1970. She taught Graphic Design and Calligraphy at San Jose City College from 1973 to 1980. Marte graduated from San Jose State University in 1980 with a Masters Degree in Fine Art and Design and a BA in Anthropology and Linguistics. She continues to take courses in Digital Design. Since 1986, she has been a Computer Graphic Artist and a Digital Animator and Designer for the Web since 1998. For more info about Marte, click the icon above. Marte is always actively looking for gallery representation as well as fine art publishing.
