Angela MacFawn:West Coast, Florida Artist Culinary Arts & Sciences and Restaurant Management Degree 1998 Graduate, Scottsdale Culinary Institute* Photography- Self taught (photo journalism style)* Sculpture- Self taught (human form, nudes, & abstracts)* Charcoal- Self taught (human form, nudes) Angela spent two years traveling the art circuit in California showing her work at fine art shows including the prestigious Malibu Fine Art Festival. Angela is currently seeking gallery representation. To contactPhone: 941-932-7050 or Email: angelamacfawn@yahoo.comHer Story... A native Floridian, Angela called Arizona and California home for 15 years before recently settling back on the west coast of Florida. Angela began to realize that she had a creative side in 1996 while attending Culinary School in Scottsdale,Arizona. She first tapped into her creative energy while sculpting with salt-dough in one of her Confections & Showpieces Class. Angela created a 2-D, Picasso style art piece. Her Chef (professor) was amazed and called it a masterpiece! Little did she know, this was only the beginning of her creative journey. Angela began to almost stumble into her talents from this point on. The sculpting began for her when she was given a large block of clay by an artist in Laguna Beach who was inspired by a comment she made one day, "I just feel like I can do it, I don't know how to explain it". She completed a beautiful female nude in just under an hour. Angela was amazed. Angela then realized she had a newly discovered talent, how exciting!! Angela then did some experimenting with charcoal. To her amazement as well as the amazement of others, this too was another talent that she had hidden inside. Who knows what else she has hidden away, untapped. When she is asked about her artwork all she can say is "it just came out or I was in the ZONE". Angela's photography began after she was given a camera for holiday several years back. Since then Angela has traveled to many islands in the tropics and parts of the USA taking photos, or as she likes to put it "capturing moments in time, beautiful moments of life". She believes that there is both Art and Beauty all around us. "It is all in how you look at it". Perception, she calls it. She offers through her photography, her perception of the world and life itself, as she sees it. Please take your time and Enjoy!
