Inspired by a true but tragic story torn from the artist's own life, this large colorful diptych is the "flagship" painting for Geoff's new show, "NEAT-O! New Paintings by Geoffrey Greene" at the Pegaso International Gallery in Los Angeles, CA through Spring 2009.
The painting is acrylic on canvas in two sections - 48" x 48" each, mounted on 3" riser bars with sealed edges, which makes framing unnecessary and lends a lovely sculptural quality to the painting.
