This is a 24 x 30 mixed media original painting. This Actress Rita Moreno, and movie has been very influential in my life and culture. There is a moral to this story that one should seriously consider relative to todays racial and social issues. We can all learn from this. Favorite movie and musical.
Ever since I can remember I always enjoyed drawing and painting. However, I was easily influenced and encouraged by my aunt who would come and visit us and would bring presents for me. I was never much for toys but, her presents consisted of "paint by Numbers kit", coloring books, colored pencils, etc. Thanks to her and my mothers great creative genes I have come to be a self taught artist. I don't have any particular style or technique, but I do like to paint portrature, animals, different cultures, and Native American art. I consider details a challenge and I eagerly take that challenge. I also love Color, I don't have a favorite color as all are my favorite and because of that I try to incorporate as much color onto the canvas as possible. My favorite artists are Kirby Sattler, JD Challenger, Lee Nobles, and Norman Rockwell. I admire ALL artists who are fine artists and can mirror their subjects on their canvases.
