Made on fine printmaking paper, this is one of a set of drawings made in one studio session. The two women are friends who delighted in modeling for me.
This drawing would frame well in a shadowbox. While I make such frames for my own drawings, to sell at twice the cost, this one is offered for sale unframed, at half the price.
I live and work in my north Louisiana home and studio just outside of the small town of Ruston. While having studied under the likes of Bergo! and Peter Jones, my local mentors, I am largely self-taught.Landscape touches me in a peaceful way and so plays a fairly large role in my work. But I have always pushed my landscape envelope, preferring the excitement of surrealism more than mere representation. Drawing itself, when fully released, is rightfully surreal. Furthermore, in the lines of the nude and the forms of abstraction I fill out my need to draw, while in fantasy I identify the basis for everything we believe in. This is what I see when I see my work. Please do take the time to visit my web site, www.DancingOkra.com
