Copper, Silver and Gold Heron Ready to hang frameless glass wall art by American artist Linda Paul
This contemporary glass art and wall mirror with pure copper, silver and 24 karat gold accents is perfect for your living room, bathroom or anywhere you need unique, contemporary wall decor

Price: $2500.00
Size: 18" x 36" x 1"

About this contemporary artwork:
The center of the artwork is a 14" x 32" beveled glass mirror with a great blue heron in beveled glass relief. In the picture (above left) you can see the reflection of sky, fields and the Rocky Mountains behind the artist's studio. The glass of the bird has been gilded by artist Linda Paul on the back in 24 karat gold, pure copper leaf and silver . The glass shimmers and reflects light like jewels. Surrounding the mirror is both gold and copper backed hand gilded beveled glass with inlaid flecks of 23 karat gold and copper. The pieces of beveled glass and center mirror are mounted on a 3/4"" thick cradled board. The sides are hand-painted in a copper color.

This ready to hang frameless contemporary artwork can be a focal point for any room in your house. It can even take the humidity of a bathroom . As the light changes in the room so does the artwork. Its especially pretty with candlelight reflected into the glass.

The beauty and shimmering effects of the metals reflected though each glass bevel is hard to capture in a photograph.

Linda Paul:Artists Statement:When asked What is your favorite painting, I always say, the next one I am going to paint! Style: I don't paint in any one style, I let inspiration speak to me and I go with the flow. My work runs the gamut from chunky realism to abstract and impressionist painting. I use many different mediums to create my artworks. One of my favorites is egg tempera which I make by crushing stones and minerals and adding egg yolk. Blues come from crushed lapis lazuli, greens from malachite and natural green earth found around Verona Italy. This medium is luminous and lasts for centuries.I also make my own acrylic paint in the same manner. By adding pure pigment to a acrylic polymer. I can add thing like crushed mica and pearlescents to make the painting come alive. Lately I have also been working with glass and precious metal like silver, copper and 23 karat goldArtist's Inspiration:I am inspired by so many things! I especially like nature in all her forms. I like concepts, process and abstract ideasIn my still life/landscape paintings, like to juxtapose sculpted bas-relief products of nature (the chunky part) against soft impressionist landscapes of their origins.

Profile Beautiful! I'd love to have this in my garden, instead of the real ones!
Profile ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love it, love it. love it. If I had the money I would buy it.
