Chariot Horse
Classical in style this delightful prancing Chariot Horse is alert and proud. He has just entered the stadium... pricking his ears and tilting his head to take in the cheering crowds. This bronze is a limited edition of 20. This one is sold but you can special order one in any color. That takes about a month and a half. All my fine art quality bronzes are made here in California. see more at

Patricia Borum's love and association with horses combined with her natural talent qualifies her to be recognised as a genuinely gifted world class artist. Her extraordinary talent boasts the ability to capture not only the power and grace of the horse, but the individual nuances and personality traits of each equine subject. Whatever the medium or measurement of her art, one is always assured of not only an exquisite work of art, but an anatomically correct object of beauty.Patricia's passion for horses began at an early age when her family was transferred to Iran. (her father is a US Army Colonel). Patricia and family traveled the arrid deserts of the middle east with nomadic tribes. One tribe gifted her family with an Arabian stallion which they kept at home. A great portion of Patricia's formative years found her living and traveling throughout Western Europe studying art, where museums and galleries were her classrooms. As a young girl Patricia competed in a variety of horse shows with her first pony. Then in England, with her horse in the back yard she became a member of the steemed British Pony Club which prepared her for competitive show jumping. As a young teen in Northern Virginia she trained her young Thoroughbred to advanced levels in three day eventing. Upon settling in Northern California in the late 1980's she has focused on her artistic career. She still enjoys riding horses on the trial. Her most monumental accomplishment is a majestic 14 foot tall bronze Spanish horse and rider which grace the gates of "Andalusia" in LA Quinta California. Equally impressive is her larger than life "Spirit" a rearing stallion which was dedicated to the memory of lives lost in the 911 attcak. This sculpture is at the gates of Mission Ranch in Rancho Mirage, CA. Patricia is accepting commissions for her portrait sculpture, monumental statues, fountains and archetectural embelishments for the home and stable.

Profile This is such a classic piece obviously inspired by Greek and Roman times. The anatomy looks quite accurate, which is so important if trying to do this style of work. Havn't worked in bronze myself, I am curious whether this artist did this in wax first, or? The patina is especially beautiful; I wish...
