Monterey Bay has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the county The waves crashing against the rocks was my inspiration for this painting.
This is a multi-media painting. I have used coarse Pumice Gel, molding gel and Acrylic. The rocks feel like rocks, and the fall out of the ocean has much texture.

Marianne was educated in Germany, and immigrated to America at the age of 21. She now lives in Gilroy, California. As a child she was exposed to her father's artful and unique cake decorating style, which was much admired by many.Later in life she was fascinated by the paintings of Monet and other masters of impressionism. When modern abstract art trickled into the market, she could only marvel at the wonderful color combinations and the freedom of expression associate with these works of art.Now being semi-retired, she is finding much more time to follow her love of painting. Marianne likes to visit quaint unique areas with beautiful landscapes, where she finds inspiration to paint. Although painting landscapes brings her much joy, her love to express her emotions through colors in abstract is still her favorite painting style. Some of her work is hanging in private collections in Europe and the United States. As one Collector commented: "She is one artist whose work will always offer one wonderful surprise after another".For more information, please visit my website www.mariestudios.com, and click on "More"Most of her work is also available in Giclee on Museum Quality Art Paper, or gallery wrap canvas upon request.
