With this painting I wanted to combine realism with abstract. The inspiration came with my grandson playing several different instruments, but started of with violin and piano.
The original was sold and only limited prints are available.
Marianne was educated in Germany, and immigrated to America at the age of 21. She now lives in Los Gatos, California. As a child she was exposed to her father's artful and unique cake decorating style, which was much admired by many.Later in life she was fascinated by the paintings of Monet and other masters of impressionism. When modern abstract art trickled into the market, she could only marvel at the wonderful color combinations and the freedom of expression associate with these works of art.Now being semi-retired, she is finding much more time to follow her love of painting. With her many grandchildren, she opens her studio to all the aspiring artist in her family. Much to her delight, some of the children already exhibit a love for a variety of arts. Marianne likes to visit quaint unique areas with beautiful landscapes, where she finds inspiration to paint. Although painting landscapes brings her much joy, her love to express her emotions through colors in abstract is still her favorite painting style. Some of her work is hanging in private collections in Europe and the United States. As one Collector commented: "She is one artist whose work will always offer another wonderful surprise".Most of her work is also available in Museum Quality Art Paper Giclee All Rights Reserved
