Biogaraphy

Nguyen Minh Thanh was born in 1971 in Kim Lan village near Hanoi
He graduated from The Fine Arts University of Hanoi in 1996
He works mainly with Chinese ink and hand-made paper. The subjects he draws are real people and animals in dream-like worlds of children's songs.
He is now living in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Just out of school , he had to his credit two solo exhibitions , both installation work.To Thanh , all beauty seems to present itself in the eternally comforting form of early recollections.In Thanh,s words,installations as well as individual pieces, there are lots of self-portraits in which he invariably appears as a little boy...
