The Niagara region is rich in the history of wine and romance. As they mate for life, the cardinals were selected to emphasize the theme of romance. The original was, after all, painted as my sister's wedding gift. The vineyard was the natural choice of backdrop as the grapevine setting lends a distinctly "Niagara" feel to the painting. Grapes indeed are the true focus of this painting as the fall season's bounty of colours and harvest almost hide the cardinals' bright splendor. Image size: 21" x 10"/Print size: 26" x 13"
