When asked What is your favorite painting artist Jeremy Johnson responds, 'The next one I am going to paint.' Born in 1982 in Santa Clara, California, Jeremy Johnson started out young as an artist growing up drawing and painting. From a young age it was obvious art would be a passion Jeremy would grasp throughout his life. Having never been tought to paint, Jeremy would look to art history books, and art magazines for inspiration. "I started out young creating, copying paintings from other artists whos work I liked. Painting and creating was something that came natural to me. I never felt lost while holding the brush." All throughout school Jeremy received attention for his paintings. His works have been televised, featured in magazines and sold at local shows and events. Jeremy's paintings are influenced by a variety of outside forces yet his inspiration to paint, and create new works of art are derived from an internal source. "When Im painting, I never know how the piece will end up. It never ends up the way I originally planned, often times better." Jeremy found his direction in art early in age, developing unique styles as young as age 13. Jeremy often credits his high school art teacher for guiding him in the right direction. "Without my high school art teacher Dave Tamori, I probably wouldn't be where I am now art wise. I credit Mr. Tamori for believing in me and encouraging me to show my work." During high school art, Jeremy was known for never doing any of the assigned projects. You could find him in the back of the class painting profusely. "During class I was flooded with inspiration and ideas and when that bell rang to head to art class I wasn't about to put my ideas aside for an art assignment." Jeremy later graduated with honors in art and never received anything less then an "A" in art class. At the age of 23 Jeremy and his beautiful wife Aliese left there home in the small town of Chico California. They headed to the culturaly diverse city of San Antonio, Texas to allow Jeremy to pursue art more seriously. Jeremy resides there to this day where he still paints. Jeremy will look to show his work all over Texas and eventually take his art on the road. If you see Jeremy around town stop and say hi, Jeremy loves hearing from his admirers.
