I offer it to you with gratitude" - David Hinkle.Born in San Francisco, California, David developed an early passion for drawing and sold sketches of famous personalities to the neighborhood kids. After high school graduation, he explored the rich history of art in Europe. Service in Viet Nam was a time of soul searching, seeking purpose, appreciation for life, and finding comfort in God.During a war-wound convalescence, David painted combat pictures for visiting generals and dignitaries. At the end of his tour, he was awarded a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. David served as art director for Fox-Mathis Publications, Los Angeles with clients including UCLA and NASA and is experienced in all aspects of design and production, fine art and art publications, medical illustration, technical illustration, and set design. He has received numerous awards including two Distinguished Communication Awards from the National Willamette Valley Publications Competition.With many paintings published as open edition prints, David continues to sell in art galleries throughout California.
